I will visit Penang for the first time. Of course. I will include the Butterfly Farm and Botanical garden for my visits! Is there any other suggestion for the sites I visit for the butterfly there? Can I see Trogonoptera Brookiana there as well?? I will appreciate your advice and suggestion. Thank you. Atsushi Yatsuda
Atsushi,
Great ! I am sure you will enjoy it. T brrokiana at Penang Butterfly Farm is seasonal so it depends on your luck. The best place to see T. brookiana is either at the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park or the Butterfly Parks at Cameron highlands.
Other places you might want to explore are the Penang National Park and Penang Hill.

Hi Gan,
Thank you for your advice. I went to the butterfly farm in Penang and enjoyed many T brrokiana there!! Also, I enjoyed brisk walk at Penang National Park and Lexias cyaniapardus was spotted at many locations. They were very vigilant, so no many chances to appreciate at still position. Spindasis was also very frequent ones to entertain my walking there. I spotted Coelites euptychioides humilis and it looked so mysteriously beautiful in the dark. I saw one interesting pupa hanging from a leaf and it looked very interesting. I think it's moth's and very waxy. I took a picture, So if I can send it to you, I want your help. How can I send you? I didn't know how commonly Hebomoia glaucippe aturia can be found there!!!!!!! Again, thank you for your advice. Happy New Year 2009 to you. Atsushi
